Merry Christmas!!!!

Simeon - Due March 3rd

Elias before his big boy hair cut!

Elias after his big boy haircut! John pretend cried when he say Elias' haircut! Elias looked at John and said, "no cry, dada." so cute!

It sure has been awhile
since I posted last...maybe I'll get around to it 4 times a year.

Elias will be 2 in March!!! We're so excited! He's talking a lot and he's so much fun.
We're having our second at the beginning of March. We're all looking forward to welcoming Simeon to the family!

Merry Christmas from the Hitson Family. Hopefully I'll keep up with the blogging thing a little better next year. We'll see.

Not very good at this thing called "POSTING"

Elias' First Birthday Party.
He LOVED his Cupcake!

He did not like everyone looking at him!

We had a great time with his buddies. We had a house full of kiddos, but it was a lot of fun!

I'm really not very good at keeping this blog up to date. Elias turned one on March 10th and we've been pretty busy over the last few weeks. I think things have slowed down a bit and I'm really ready for the pretty relaxing days of spring. I'm looking forward to park days and blowing bubbles with Elias outside. He LOVES being outside and Meredith gave him a hippo that blows bubbles. OH MY, do we have fun chasing those bubbles.
John's hernia is still giving him troubles. We're praying about the next step to take in trying to figure out this crazy thing that goes on in his body. Last week I had to take him to the ER in the middle of the night because he could not stop shaking. It's been a pretty tough road so far. We are trusting that really soon we'll figure out why all these things have been happening. I'm hoping that he'll be able to get in to see a doctor within the next week or so.
Please pray with us as we continue through this journey of discovery.
We just recently got a Volvo V70. Pretty cool car. We like it alot!
I hope to keep the blog updated a little bit better! Here's to trying!

It's already the end of January! What?

Well. I said that I would post more but I guess that means I'll post 2x's a month. The weather was nice for a whole week and now we're back to our January weather again. We were able to take Elias out on a walk or 2 while it was nice. I really enjoyed that. Elias is talking a lot in his own language, some words we can recognize, like mama, dada and the most recent word we think he said dog. He mimics the sounds of words. Yesterday he was done eating and I said "all done" in a sing songy voice and he repeated me. It was pretty cute.
Elias really likes grill cheese sandwiches and I've started giving him goldfish. He did pretty good with those as well.
John is working hard at Artisan Wood Products. We are taking a small vacation to see my
parents at the beginning of Feb. It will be nice to be in a little be warmer weather. We may even be able to stop through Las Vegas to see Callie and Nate.

Here's a couple of most recent pictures from one of our walks.

Happy New Years 2010

I've decided to post a lot more to my blog...It's January 1st 2010. Elias will be 1 in 2 months! Some of my New Years resolutions this year are to eat more greens and less carbs, take guitar lessons, worship more with my husband, spend less time on Facebook and more time blogging. So, here's my first entry in 2010. Here's to a great year!

What's been going on the past few months!

John, Elias and Grandpa (Jack) on Fathers Day! 09

Cousin Emmy, Aunt Marvel and Elias when they came to visit for Carls Wedding!

Time goes by so fast! Elias is 5 months and 1 week old. I can't believe how big he's getting. He's now eating pears, apples, sweet potatoes, bananas and avacados...all in pureed form! It's been so exciting to see him experience all the new foods. We just returned from California where we visited my parents and were able to spend some time in Santa Monica with the family, Callie and Nate drove in from Las Vegas. I'll add those pictures soon!
Kahle's been a little sick but seems to be on the mend. We're enjoying being home with him at our house. I think we're going to start finishing out the garage. Maybe we can work on the kitchen a little this fall as well. Here's some new pictures!
